  1. I think Thomas Jefferson nailed it when he said “Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law’ because Law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.”

  2. Liberty is the most result of exercise of God-given free will. It is the most elusive concept in history, often misinterpreted and feigned in “Democracy”. It is the freedom to act upon your beliefs and to simply sustain them. The only rule that I feel should apply to liberty is that no one can take liberty away from another person, a concept that every government, including America, has sought desperately to withhold. Construction of liberty is the willingness and desire to defend free will at all costs, forsaking oneself in realization that living oppressed is not living at all.

  3. Liberty is happiness, but it comes at a price.

  4. Here’s the thing about Liberty in the USA that people have forgotten….say it with me:

    LIBERTY TRUMPS DEMOCRACY

You cannot have a majority vote to steal rights or properties from others. This includes taxation (when it goes to the ‘needy’) and bans on gay marriages (it’s not your choice to take someone elses freedom!).

    Say it AGAIN!

    LIBERTY TRUMPS DEMOCRACY!

    One more time!

    LIBERTY TRUMPS DEMOCRACY!!

    • Republic madam if you can keep it!
      Benjamin Franklin

  5. I like Dr Paul’s definition :”Liberty is the absence of government coercion “

  6. Liberty is the freedom of people to rise up and demand equality!

  7. Liberty is the right to bear arms and to use those arms to overthrow a government that has gotten too bloated and off-base from the system our founding fathers designed.

  8. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:17…..Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is LIBERTY.

    I believe:
When the human soul finds out that Jesus Christ is GOD; and confesses with their mouth, and believes in their heart. They are then saved from going to hell, and then they can give all their burdens to him, and put their faith and trust in HIM only…..the soul is LIBERATED from the bonds of sin and death. While trials & hard times my come their way….they are still liberated because they know whom the real GOD is and have a purposeful life in which GOD will bless them with wisdom, truth and fulfilment.

  9. Liberty is… Up to everyone to defend the armless constitution and it may come to this just in…

    http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/news/2009/09/full_text_of_newsmax_column_suggesting_military_co.php?ref=fpblg

  10. liberty is the unalienable right of all free and sovereign human beings to chose for themselves, based on their own personal belief system, how to attain and maintain happiness.

    • IN ORDER TO HAVE WHAT LITTLE LIBERTY WE HAVE LEFT, WE MUST NOT LET THEM PUT AN RFID CHIP IN OUR BODY- NO MATTER WHAT THEY USE TO SCARE US(WHICH WILL BE LOGICAL AND SEEM TO MAKE SENSE) BECAUSE THAT IS THE END OF HUMAN SOVEREIGNTY!

      • WE ARE GOING TO REGAIN EVERYTHING THEY HAVE TRIED TO TAKE AWAY. WE ARE AMERICANS! DO NOT THINK SUCH THOUGHTS THAT ANYTHING IS LOST BY A FEW POWER HUNGRY UNAMERICAN LIBRAL THINKERS! THIS IS OUR LAND AND WITH
OUR NEW GOVERNMENT VOTED IN BY FREEDOM AND CONSTITUTIONAL UNDERSTANDING AMERICANS WE SHALL ALWAYS ENJOY LIBERTY AND JUSTICE !

  11. “Liberty is… the soul’s right to breathe.”

  12. Liberty is… educating our youth instead of enslaving them in debt.

    • Yes, and proper education is our future security.

    • Liberty is… not having the president broadcasting into and indoctrinating our kids in the school classroom.

  13. Liberty IS…what America WAS. 😦

    • To everything there is a time.

A time to sleep, and a time to wake.

When enough of us get awake enough to undo the ills that happened while we slept. The wolf in the hen-house best take a closer look at us “hens.”

    • Americans have been debating over what liberty means since the days of the Federalists and Anti-Federalists. I think you ought to be more specific. Are you talking about Washington’s term in office? The Jeffersonian Era? The Era of Good Feelings? The Jacksonian Era? Pre-/Post- Civil War Era? Anyone who had anything to say about politics in America always believed they were supporting liberty.

  14. Liberty is…freedom to live your own life not the life the government chooses for you. Isn’t it life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? That’s what America is all about, that is why people from other nations are beating our doors down to get in ! YES liberty is earned and we must defend it at all cost.

    • Our (The USA) Founding Charter says that Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness is only the first 1/2 of the equation. The last 1/2 is that of, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed.

  15. Liberty is freedom plus responsibility. It is the ultimate gift that many have died to give. “Give me liberty or give me death!”

    • I love Patrick Henry’s words–“Give me liberty, or give me death!” I say–“Give me sobriety, or give me death!” Thanks to a loving and forgiving God, twenty three years ago!

  16. I heard the news state that “socialism is the new N-Word” that is wrong. Then Liberty is the dissent of socialism, so in sense that makes Liberty the new F-word.

    • So, Obama I say Liberty to you socialist.

    • Since there are so many words in the dictionary that begin with the letters “n” and “f”: When in the USA is it not legal or “politically correct” to speak ones mind freely.

Is it not one of the USA rights to not listen to anyone we choose as well?

      • wasnt jesus a socialist? if you have two coats, you are required to give one away…

        • He was the King of Liberty and truth.
Liberty is… The Truth, because it will “set you free”
Freewill Under the Creator’s Law with the rights he gave us a birth. Having two coats and giving away is charity, not socialism. Socialism is not freewill. Jesus didn’t take your second coat to give to your neighbor.

        • You giving away your own treasures to those you see in need is following Jesus, the government deciding for you when and how much and to whom it is given is called thievery.

        • Jesus said to take care of your family first! And…that it was the families job to take care of their own. It is NOT Jesus’s will that we allow the rest of the world to USE and ABUSE us. We are to be strong and kind. We are to help those that we can, AGAIN after we help our own family..country!

        • But did Jesus steal one of the coats and give it to another?

          NO!

  17. Liberty is the freedom to succeed — or fail — on my own merits.

    • Well said!

And you reaping the rewards or dealing with the fallout of your own decisions. The results of your endeavors are not for others to fix or to plunder!

  18. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty. Controlling spirits and people use fear, intimidation and manipulation to suck the life and liberty out of you. But fortunately, God gives some people a backbone and a set of balls to exercise in this present evil world to tear down the facade that covers the true nefarious motives of this government system.

    • So what about those of use who do not worship any gods and still fight for the rights of those to worship whatever god they desire?

  19. Liberty is….EARNED! If you want liberty from Socialism then you have to stand up to it and speak against it. THEN, you have EARNED it.

  20. Liberty is… RELIEF.

Quite sad to know that there is liberty because if it exist, then the meaning of ‘will’ exists too. Its like saying how would we know good if evil never existed. Liberty in its relieving nature is only a feeling we notice after something went against our or someone’s will therefore it won’t exist if will cease to not exist. When I think about it, life isn’t as humbling as it seems when there is meanings such as good and evil.

  21. As written July 4, 1776:

“That whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends (LIFE_LIBERTY_PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS) it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles …”

    • My opinionated correction: “That to secure these Rights [CERTAIN UNALIENABLE RIGHTS, THAT AMONG THESE ARE LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS—], Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government become destructive of these Ends [GOVERNMENTS ARE INSTITUTED AMONG MEN, DERIVING THEIR JUST POWERS FROM THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED],it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it. and to institute new Government…

In my opinion, governments are established to secure the rights of the People with those governments being instituted via the CONSENT of the governed. When governments no longer conduct business according to the CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED, then it is the RIGHT and the DUTY of the People to alter, abolish, or throw off that government.

  22. Liberty is not to be taken for granted. Any freedoms you lose now will not be easily gotten back. This is the greatest country in the world. Don’t listen to anyone who apologizes for this great country. It’s the best. God bless America.

    • Perhaps the greatest. Yes.

Like any individual, countries are no different. When serious mistakes are made by governments, even if for supposed good cause; apology needs be made; and when called for, restitution as well.

  23. American liberty is best described by the Declaration of Independence & Constitution.

    • You had me at the Declaration of Independence: The National Founding Charter for the USA. Then you lost me with the Constitution

  24. Liberty is…the responsibility to rise up against tyrannical, socialist regimes and administrations that threaten our rights as Americans by following the example of our forefathers and employing the force necessary to insure that ALL American (not Mexican or other illegal alien) people’s rights are protected….

  25. “Liberty is a vision which our forefathers dreamed of a free, secure, safe America. Its not a right, its not a privilege, it is earned by believing the message of those men and willing to die to protect it.”

    Scott Davis Aug 7, 2009!

PS. Congrats on making it one month, keep the site going strong and promote the many definitions of Liberty!

    • liberty is… more security through freedom and liberty. good one scott

  26. Liberty is for all. Privileges are for none.

  27. Liberty is…the antithesis of coercion.

  28. Liberty is…GOD,FREEDOM! AND GET THE DAMN GOVERNMENT OUT OF OUR LIVES.. SAY YES TO: T A A G
    (TRUE AMERICANS AGAINST GOVERNMENT)

    • Could not have said it any better—GOD BLESS———-Thanks—Susan

  29. Liberty is…Responsibility

  30. why are we not suing the propaganda machine ( a.k.a news media )into oblivion. it wont be hard to prove they are agenda driven. I’m not a lawyer but Carol Burnett did it against the national inquirer in 1977. The propaganda machine is our worst enemy in it’s present state. Let’s open them up to law suits every time they turn around. Now that’s liberty !!!!! Stop giving them credit as a news outlet, call them what they are, the propaganda machine.

    • Nicely put. O.K., not so nice, but accurate.

  31. I believe Liberty is summed up in the American Constitution, and should be protected with our last breath and last drop of blood that is in us just as it has been since written. Many have given and are giving all to protect it, and many look at us as a country and wish they had it to protect. That’s why we have many coming here wanting the same rights that we have. And there’s also those coming to take it away, so we must be aware and go even beyond what we have in the past to protect it. God Bless The USA!

    • Do you understand the Purpose of the Constitution?

When was the last time you read the USA Founding Charter (a.k.a. The Declaration of Independence)?

  32. is not in anyway, shape, or form intrinsically tied to the Constitution, to which many have mistakenly alleged. This piece of paper, afterall, has been altered many times by our democratic-republic–under an irrational yet enduring precept of positive law–with devastating and irreparable damage to our naturally-derived, yet state-bound, rights. As this paper never did secure our liberty (and to this Jefferson, Adams, Henry, & even probably Madison would agree), it **most certainly** does not advance the cause of liberty. Why or how any lover of liberty could be so enamored with a (bureaucratically-devised, state-sponsored, and overly-glorified/nostalgic) document that doesn’t say what it should, never said what it could, but can be used as a tool against us in the cause?

    • No paper preserves our liberty that is not back by our willingness to risk our lives, fortunes, and honor defending.

I agree. Those worshiping the paper do not understand it merely serves as a reminder; having no other power.

  33. Liberty is… being able to act in accordance with my conscience without fear of interference from others.

    • Perhaps not in your specific case: But the so-called liberty of some need be interfered with.

Examples: The Columbine shooters; the guy who shot the women in the gym; Hitler; and others.

But where does one draw that fine line?

Perhaps, the line must be drawn by individuals who are the soul protectors of their own liberties. For those not willing to risk their lives for their own liberty do not deserve that liberty.

  34. Liberty is…having a legal exchange medium.

  35. Liberty is a concept or idea of political philosophy and identifies the condition in which an individual has the right to act according to his or her own free will and except the consequences of those acts.
This is a God given right to all people in which, on occasion we need to fight for. Whether or not we choose too is the question that we find ourselves facing today.
Our founding fathers faced this same decision with King George’s tyranny. We face the same tyranny today against the liberal/progressive movement.

  36. Liberty is…my natural rights, that only our fellow man can attempt to take away, often in the form of government.

  37. Liberty is a seven-letter word starting with the consonant ‘L’. while it has a manifest meaning for all who use it, that is left up to the context of the situation. In the concrete reality of the human experience on this world, there is never complete liberty in that there will always be a balance of winners and losers. If you doubt that, ask the minimum wage worker, or the homeless veteran.

  38. …Freedom that is costly and heroic and the grandest gift aside from life itself that has been given by God, earned by many, and protected by some. It is something that has been cherished and fought for and once given up.. hard to get back.

  39. Liberty is… having good men like Rob on the side of liberty here that are free to express such an awesome site like this so that we may express our opinions on what liberty means to each of us.

    THANKS ROBPATOZZ!!!!

  40. Liberty is…an experiment in free expression.

  41. Liberty is….doing what I want without infringing upon anyone elses rights.

  42. Liberty is… To hate injustice, tyranny, apathy of unconstitutional violations, and my hatred embraces all those who are guilty of them. I want to tell my critics that I regard my feelings of hatred as a real force. They are only the reflexes of love I bear for the causes I believe.

  43. Liberty is…the right of all earthlings.

  44. Liberty is … being able to SELF-GOVERN; using my rights responsibly to 1) do all I say I’m going to do and 2) not encroach on other persons or their property.

The two laws above are courtesy of Richard Maybury.

  45. Liberty is…LIFE

  46. Liberty is…he right to live in free expression in the nation that you live in with the rights given to you to never be taken away…given by Christ.

  47. Liberty is…waking up in the morning and not worrying about your liberty.

    • Liberty is… Losing sleep by keeping one eye open on tyrants. I constantly worry about my Liberty and the day I get sleep is the day I have rested far too long to allow tyranny to creep in on the middle of the night. Apathy is a liability to our liberty. always be vigilant my friends.

  48. Why do the sons of “liberty” give away guns made in the “axis of evil?” Some patriotism.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AK-47

  49. Liberty is…being able to regurgitate every stupid rant one hears from douchebags like Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity, I guess. <>

    • ….liberty to you is being able to censor those with different viewpoints from your own, classic liberal crap, how about we censor mullets like you,,hmmm, liberty? dont think so, continue your drivel and remember whats good for the goose is good for the gander

    • Liberty is… not fully understood by all. Read and understand your declaration of independence and state and fed constitutions. Once you understand it maybe a better definition of Liberty will be posted by some.

    • some people don’t have the sense God gave a goose, they can only mimic liberals.

    • Liberty is what we enjoy on a daily basis. The liberty you demean is what gives you the ability to make that judgment, however incorrect I believe it to be. Were you in another country you would not be able to compare those people with that word. You would be locked up and the key thrown away. You would be kept away from friends and family. My family members fought to make this country what it is. I am sure they are rolling over in their graves.
Liberty is a gift, given us by those who fought against tyranny. Just because you do not like what those people say does not give you the right to demean their character.
I think the best way to deal with the press and radio, tv is to remember to take what you like and leave the rest, but also to investigate, question and make your own opinion.
I went to school with folks who escaped the Soviet Republic, to hear their stories will change your heart.

    • I thank God for the people who are BRAVE enough to speak out against the EVIL overtaking our beloved country! Big government = Bad government
Liberty = Freedom to fight Socialism/Communism that fills people’s heads with the idea that it is ok to MOOCH off other people! Socialists think that it is ok to DRAIN our system, and whine that they are not getting enough. Never Enough! I miss the day when if a person could work, they would, and they wouldn’t ask for an handout. My God told me to grow up and be responsible! Stop expecting the world to take care of me.

  50. Liberty is…choosing.
    …home education.
    …turning the television off.
    …communicating with my friends.
…traveling to the church of my choice.

    • Yes – it is the right to choose – even if my choices are different than yours or someone elses, AS LONG AS IT DOES NO HARM TO ANYONE ELSE.

  51. liberty, freedom. I will not give them up without a bloody fight !

  52. Liberty IS… NOT a Mother May I Game!

Step 1. Play this game with at least three players.

Step 2. Announce that you will be “Mother.”

Step 3. Line the players up facing you about 10 feet away.

Step 4. Give commands to the players one at a time. Say, for example, “Anna, you may take one step forward.”

Step 5. Wait for the player to respond. If she says, “Mother, may I?” answer either, “Yes, you may” or “No, you may not.”

Step 6. Make sure the player asks the question and follows your instructions. If she doesn’t, tell the player that she’s out of the game.

Step 7. Continue giving commands to the players in any order that you choose.

Step 8. Play until only Mother and one player are left. The last player left in the game is the winner.

Step 9. Take turns being Mother in subsequent games.

Well… I’m done playing this game. My forefathers fought and died so I don’t need no stinking permission for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I shall not apologize if my freedom of speech bothers some. I appreciate all those that have the passion for freedom. Because I know whats its like when you first get it. You either have it or you don’t.

I feel that something very sacred is being stolen from me right now and it’s my country, my culture, my future, and my children s future. All because of the lack of respect for the Constitution and the rule of law.

I tell the truth and would never lead anyone down the wrong path. I stick to the constitution. I research my facts and study history and I freaking love this country the way our forefathers designed it and it kills me that we have fallen so far away from the constitution.

I swear I will do everything in my power to educate people on constitutional truth and hope one day we will return to freedom. Right now we have slavery wrapped in an American flag. Our fruits of our labor is taxed without representation and we have to ask the king, er… I mean the government for permission to own property, to build on your property, to drive, work, hunt, fish, boat, sell, buy, fly, travel… heck anything you do except speech…. wait… you need a permit to speak in public too. please please may i please may I say something in public? …huh?!? Thats not American. Our forefoathers loved freedom so much that they would throw their physical bodies into the gears of tyranny to ensure freedom for the future of their children. You know exactly what freedom meant to our forefathers. They earned the freedom by dissenting from the king by saying “NO” and no longer needed any man’s permission or license for life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. They declared sovereignty. No man is to encroach on any of your creator endowed liberties for ANY REASON… EVER. PERIOD! If your unalienable rights are violated you are no longer FREE! The chains are for the government, not you. YOUR creator created people, the people created the local governments and states, and the states created the feds. See how everything has flipped upside down? And to think many people dont know “WE THE PEOPLE” are the ones in POWER, WE are the employer. Once everyone understands that… we win. United we stand, United States of America. There is a reason why that is our name. Use it. Or lose it.

    • I am going to use my freedom of speech… the rules are ONE or TWO SENTENCES, retard!

      • yes my thought ended up long and it started off as “liberty is not a mother may i game”. and as I wrote it, it continued as a “SINGLE THOUGHT.” you have every right to freedom of speech and reflect the use of demeaning words which others can see you use. Nice choice of words. such negativity bothers me not.

You forget I’m on the good side of liberty.

      • The “retard” is YOU for not understanding a word of what that man wrote. You are the problem: the type that runs around trying to put a leash on everyone else.

Liberty is not having to justify your opinions to anyone except the ones you feel you want to.

Liberty is freedom from taxation. Taxation now in America is nothing more than taking from one “less preferred” person and giving to a more preferred.

Got news for you: I am a white guy who does not owe a damned thing to anyone because they are darker than me or less fortunate. I give to those who show a willingness to adjust their behaviors to prevent future problems. I do not give, or give in, to those who demand the fruits of my labor unconditionally.

Liberty is freedom to talk about Christ in a public place. Liberty is not being intimidated with “double-think”, where the truth is one thing but you are pressed to say another. Like, “America is the biggest Islam nation on earth” and “America is not a Christian nation”. All lies, a deliberate double-think re-writing of history.

Liberty is not demanding quarter nor having quarter demanded of you.

Liberty is being free from a US Government “agent” knocking on your home door and demanding to come in to tell you how to raise your children, part of this Oboinga takeover of America.

Liberty is not paying for the right to travel anywhere, not asking permission to build on your land, being free from the government seizing your land on BS “eminent domain” for the next shopping mall.

Liberty is not having to look out your front door at people invading your neighborhood or your nation.

You can call people retards all you want, and it shows that in the final analysis you are one of those that will need a broken face to get the message. And that broken face is just around the bend, count on it.

  53. Liberty is…the right to bear arms and if Obama takes away our right to do that then it’s; Bomb Obamba.

    • There is also Freedom of Speech, don’t forget.

    • it’s time for a line in the sand

  54. Liberty is seeing a star and being able to reach for it without restraint.
Liberty is having a dream and being able to go for it without restraint.
Liberty is speaking your mind without fear.
Liberty is being able to write what you think without fear.
Liberty is having the government FEAR YOU!

  55. [To Mark Muller] Protect what you believe in. Life is full of crazy people and our way of life is changing because China now has our jobs and we don’t even care. If I had a job I would buy a truck from you…God bless you.

  56. [To Patriot Car deal Mark Muller] …I wish I lived in your state so I could buy a pickup truck from you. I think that is a great idea, helping people defend themselves in a liberal society that wants to outlaw guns. I am a retired police officer in Massachusetts and am moving out of this state to another that allows ownership without signing your life away. Congratulations on defending the 2nd Amendment.

  57. Liberty means:

GOD, GUNS, GUTS, GLORY AND AMERICAN PICK UP TRUCKS

    • Ya, I bet Jesus would have been one of the biggest members of the NRA, that whole Turn the Other Cheek thing is liberal propaganda.

      • To bedmonsen….yes the turn the other cheek principle did apply back then and still does today. Unfortunately, in today’s socialist, crime-filled, lazy-ass, litigious society, if one turns the other cheek without protecting oneself, he will most likely be shot, beaten to death, kidnapped, molested, or just plain violated in some fashion. Bet you never hear that in the liberal media or propaganda!

      • show me anywhere in the Bible where people did not defend themselves. David and Goliath,Joshua at Jericho. God created man in His image. God created this world and all therein. God does not expect us to keep being beaten down by evil of any kind. God’s own son said: Rise up and take your bedclothes to the man at the Micvah . We are to be responsible for us, believe in God and do what is right. If we subjugate ourselves to anyone it should be God. Liberty and Justice for all was the cry of Freedom. To keep us free we must not deter from our path set for by God. Many would sell our freedoms for gold and have. Look at how we give Arabians our money they get rich from US taxes, then we give em more money for oil, Good grief put Americans to work, let them exercise their freedom of choice not rip it from our hands and give to the Emirates.

  58. Liberty is…the pursuit of life, freedom and happiness without a tyrannical government in my face 24/7 curtailing my God-given rights and stealing the fruits of my labor to fund all that is outside the restraints in Art. 1, Sec. 8 of the U.S. Constitution.
    – Devvy Kidd

    • This is it–nothing more, nothing less. This is a fun exercise in creativity and all, but the “meaning” of liberty is not relativistic. The less certain we all are of a shared understanding of what liberty truly is, then the more leeway social engineers will have to pry open our wallets, and the more leeway fascist moral-conservatives will have to put their stamp of damnation on our victimless activities.

    • Liberty is not a right, it is a gift. nor is it to do whatever you want. Liberty has responsibilities and boundries. Liberty is the action of what is right and good and ensuring freedom for all.

      • Liberty is sending our children to school to be able to pray, sing Carols at Christmas, have plays about our Saviour’s birth, learn about what we the parents want them to learn not let someone else tell us what they should believe or what another person wants instead. We are letting others have their choice on what they want when they are the minority or even from another
        country.

We are letting others tell us what we can do or what we cant NOW and it is
getting worse all the time! Its is not
Liberty to have other people mostly non citizens have their freedom/Liberties.

  59. Liberty is…to me, following all the aspects of the Constitution and not allowing a minute amount of people, (WHOEVER THEY MIGHT BE) to question, OUR FREEDOM OF WORSHIP, SPEECH, RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS, AND DICTATE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY SOME OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO RESIDE IN WASHINGTON, FILLING THEIR POCKETS WITH MONEY EARNED BY THE HARD WORKING PEOPLE OF THIS UNITED STATES, TAXED TO DEATH IS WHAT WE ARE SO OUR POLITICIANS CAN FLY JETS TO LUNCH AND OUR GAS GOES HIGHER, I HAVE LIVED LONG ENOUGH TO SEE A CHANGE,AND I THINK A LOT OF YOUNGER PEOPLE WILL LIVE TO REGRET IT I’M SURE I DO ALREADY!

    • the dumbing down of America has worked well for the socialists

  60. READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!THAT MY ANCESTORS FOUGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM (OF RIGHTS, RELIGION AND ON AND ON AND WROTE THE CONSTITUTION THAT WE AS LEGAL CITIZENS LOVE AND RESPECT………..READ THE CONSTITUTION AND ALSO SEE WHO SIGHED IT AND THE STATEMENTS MADE SAYS DO NOT LET LAWYERS RUN OUR COUNTRY……………LOOK AT THOSE 545 SCUM BAGS AND THAT LOONIE TICK IN THE PRESIDENTS SEAT… ALSO ENFORCE THE LAWS AND KICK OUT ALL THE ILLEGALS SO THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE WILL DROP, COME HERE LEGAL AND PAY YOUR OWN WAY NO MORE FOOD STAMPS AND FREE RIDES FOR THE ABLE PERIOD……..

  61. I love it. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That is what this country was founded on. We are headed towards socialism quickly and before you know it we will be a socialistic country. I want this man [Mark Muller] to run for president. You [Mark Muller] are awesome. I already own a AK-47 but if I need a new car I’ll come see you [Mark Muller]. Then I can have two AK-47’s. I will always protect my home and my family no matter what the laws are. I don’t intend on being anybody’s victim, I’ll go to jail if I have to, but I will NOT be a VICTIM.

  62. Liberty is…freedom of choice, freedom to vote, freedom to not vote for liberal fanatics.

  63. Liberty is…living, abiding, following God’s Holy Law, The Ten Commandments…and the proof is that I can express myself here.

  64. Liberty…IS the freedom to protect and support your family, without government interference…IS the freedom to do what makes you happy, as long as you do no harm to others…IS, if you wish, the opportunity to serve your country and/or your god.

  65. Without liberty nothing else matters, ask a prisoner.

  66. Liberty is…certainly, not this.

  67. Liberty is…simply having the freedom to live with as little outside intervention as possible.

  68. Liberty is…

“You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers!”

    Defend your 2nd amendment rights!

  69. Liberty is… a crime to define. The question that everyone should be asking themselves is: “What is the role of Government?” That’s something we should be trying to limit to a sentence.

“Who am I?” is a good question as well. “Who am I to say you cant…?”

  70. Liberty is…what sailors get! I want freedom.

    • It is amazing how many people want either “freedom” or “liberty” but too few desire the responsibility that must accompany either when living in a somewhat civilized society.

  71. Liberty is…what sailors get! We want total freedom!

  72. Liberty is…being able to experience as much of God’s great gift of life, which includes the whole of the earth, its people, its cultures and the knowledge that has been discovered and through the vastness of that experience come to love God more.

  73. Liberty is… being free from needing a license, and a license means getting permission to do something that is otherwise illegal. Isn’t that what the forefathers fought for, to gain the freedom from permissions for just about everything from the king? Wait… does that sound like today?

  74. Liberty is…our most precious treasure, to be guarded jealously, but shared joyously.

  75. When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. – Thomas Jefferson

It is very much past time for the government to fear you. Stand up, be counted, and speak out to your Congress! If they do nothing to help, DO NOT VOTE for them again. Simple.

  76. I decided to be head a different direction with it and quote from “The American Heritage Dictionary”:

Liberty is…a)The condition of being free from restriction or control; freedom b) The right to act or believe as one chooses.

  77. Liberty is the unencumbered exercise of ones god given and inalienable rights. It is necessary to understand that Liberty and Freedom can only exist when it is generally accepted that rights are granted divinely by a power higher than man, for in the absence of this acceptance man can only look to another man for his rights; it is at this point that he must conclude that he is a slave to another man’s whims. Thousands of years of philosophy have concluded that divine right is freedom, rights derived by man is slavery. Bow down before no man. Stand up for your god given rights.

  78. Liberty is not being told, that because you happen to have a conservative viewpoint, that you could possibly be a domestic terrorist. Obama says if you disagree on abortion, gun rights, or bemoan the general state of the country that you might be a domestic terrorism risk,.. seriously.

    • When did we get to the point where we let our politicians RULE over us instead of being our SERVANTS?

      • That day happened when politicians decided their own salary and worth. It used to be an honor to serve this Country. Now it is a race to see how they can pillage..and take away our Liberty ,Freedom, and the Pursuit of Happiness on a daily basis.
The day they pillaged Social Security plundered the money for their personal vendettas signed the deal

  79. Liberty is…what we still have, but the politicians are making every effort to take away. Freedom, liberty, and choice is ours but we must yell, shout, holler, to keep it. The fight to preserve our liberty is now and the weapons are available to every citizen, telephones, emails, tea parties, protests and one day in November when we have the power to VOTE THEM OUT. Remember “that government is the problem”, take it back!

  80. Liberty is…a perfect state of universal love.

  81. Liberty is…my name, slaying tyrants my game.

  82. Liberty is: The right for me to take my assets, my knowledge and my mistakes and turn these into MY LIFE – one that makes me happy, strong and fulfilled. I don’t see government anywhere in this recipe.

  83. Liberty is not existing … except you don’t give a damn thing about man-made laws then one can live a decent and free life.

  84. Liberty is…following my conscience.

Conscience is the most sacred of all property.
    -James Madison

My 7 year old daughter wanted to add:

Liberty is…freedom from not that much government.

  85. Liberty is… the ability to do whatever the hell I wanna do as long as it doesn’t encroach on the liberty of others!

  86. Liberty is…an AK-47 with every truck purchase!

    Max Motors http://www.max71.com/

  87. Liberty is…passion without fear.

  88. Liberty is…Capitalism. – Sean Carpenter

  89. Liberty is…the notion that we are ALL responsible for our country’s well-being, as we are free to act, within the confines of our mutually-agreed-upon laws.

    • WHAT ABOUT OUR LAWS, OTHERS DONT TAKE ANY NOTICE OF THEM AND THEY GO FREE TO TAKE AWAY OUR JOBS. IN SOME CASES.
WHO STOPS THEM, NOT OUR GOVERNMENT, THEY JUST WANT TO STOP OUR CITIZENS. IS THE GOVERNMENT TRYING TO GET MORE FANS FROM PEOPLE WHO MIGHT DO WHAT ‘BIG KIND DAD WANTS.’

WE BUY HOUSES AND HAVE TO GET PERMISSION TO ADD TO THEM OR IMPROVE ON THEM WHY, SO THEY CAN TAX US MORE FOR WHAT WE DO. THAT DOESN’T SOUND LIKE FREEDOM

  90. Liberty is… Opportunity

  91. Liberty is…waking up in the morning with a smile because the day is as free as you are.

  92. Liberty is… the satisfaction of being in charge of your own life

  93. Liberty is not A CARBON TAX.

  94. Liberty is…what makes this the best country in the world. You have the freedom to choose how far you want to go in life. Liberty is not to be taken for granted. Once gone, it will never come back. Stand up for America’s future. Don’t let others choose your healthcare, freedom of speech, telling you how much money you are allowed to make. Liberty is the U.S.A.
    Let’s keep it that way.

    • Though Liberty is as individual as you and I; we cannot preserve our own apart from each other. We might only hope to preserve our Liberty when we all work for the preservation of each other’s liberty as well.

      • Liberty is not FREE

    • I get what you are saying..but Liberty is not about a country.

      Liberty is about Individuals!

  95. Liberty is…love.

  96. Liberty is…a hard fought right, easily eliminated between generations through progressive government practice and a media willing to take the ride.

Remember two quotes from Jefferson and we can keep Liberty alive:

    1. Advertisements contain the only truths to be relied on in a newspaper.

    2. Do not bite at the bait of pleasure, till you know there is no hook beneath it.

There are a million more than can be put under here (but we don’t need to be warned about our government again…)

  97. Liberty is…government with consent of all those that are governed.

  98. Liberty is…worshiping my Creator in the manner that I choose.
Liberty is…communicating with the many friends that I have met through Campaign For Liberty.
    Liberty is…traveling without hindrance.
Liberty is…having as many children as I want.
Liberty is…breathing without the permission of a government.
    Liberty is…choosing.

  99. Liberty is… Military vets serving and sacrificing their live to defend and protect the constitution, borders and sovereignty from the enemies from within.

  100. Liberty is … to be restored again, first by deporting Barack Hussein Obama.

  101. Liberty is…being able to say 2+2=4

    • Liberty is…being able to say 2+2=3.

  102. Liberty is…being able to piss on my front lawn in broad day light….

  103. Liberty is the soul’s right to breathe and, when it cannot take a long breath, laws are girdled too tight.
    – Rev. Henry Ward Beecher

  104. Liberty is…surrendered over time to bureaucracy until the next revolution. Government will only grow in largess if left unchecked.

    • Though the government of the USA has what is supposed to be a 3-way checks and balance: It is unfortunate that the People forget of the 4th check on our government.

The 4th Check = The People against their government = Revolution if need be.

      • I fear we are headed for a Revolt very soon. The IRS is ruining the lives of many. It too is illegal. It seems that we the people will now be we the poor, unemployed and imprisoned for our beliefs. Sound familiar, ask anyone in the USSR or their families

  105. Liberty is…

    Independence and self reliance.

Responsibility, Accountability and the Retaining the rewards of your efforts.

    Absence of Force and Coercion.

And the freedom to make decisions and to pursue your own vision of happiness to the best of your ability that these things will give you.

  106. Liberty, like charity, must begin at home.
    by James Bryant Conant

  107. Liberty is…private property.

“The choice lies between property on the one hand and slavery, public or private, on the other. There is no third issue.”

    -Hilaire Belloc.

  108. Liberty is…alive and well at the Campaign for Liberty.

    http://CampaignforLiberty.com

  109. Liberty is…God given, the last chance for humanity, sacred, scarce, fearless, hopeful, trying, tempered, freedom of expression, freedom of thought, a vessel for the soul to safely express itself to the world. The believers in true Liberty are watchful, protective, and are damned if they will let it go extinct!

  110. Liberty is…timeless, beautiful, natural.

  111. Liberty is…an endangered species to be protected before all others!

  112. Liberty is…the peace of mind we will all have when we know our family, friends, and ourselves are free.

  113. Liberty is…not free.

    • Why is Liberty not FREE!!!

      • Liberty is not free because you are only as free as you will defend, scratch, and die for it. its when we dont work for freedom and become lazy is the day we lose it. live free or DIE!

liberty is planting a tree of liberty seed for the shade in which you may not sit under.

  114. Liberty is…not having to worry about what stupid laws your government is trying to pass (that will harm, not protect you) while you were sleeping.

    • Liberty is…living by the constitution, which protects me from human nature.

  115. Liberty is…..not being taxed to the point where its no longer worth it to earn money, and not having to pay for everyone who doesn’t want liberty

  116. Liberty is… the right to pursue happiness through private property.

  117. Liberty is…the ability to pursue truth out of love.

  118. Liberty is… Awesome!

  119. Liberty is…happiness.

  120. Liberty is…the freedom to have the (legal) .44 magnum revolver sitting on your night stand when you go to bed!

  121. Liberty is…the right to be different from, and to disagree with your neighbor, yet still find a way to get along.

  122. Liberty is… the freedom to be responsible for your actions or inaction.

  123. Liberty is…the prerequisite for living a truly human life.

  124. Liberty is…freedom from tyranny.

  125. Liberty is…obviously the absence of the state.

  126. Liberty is…ownership of property.

    • TRY TELLING THE GOVERNMENT THAT, YOU MAY HAVE PAID FOR IT BUT THEY CAN STILL DO WHAT THEY CARE TO DO.

  127. Liberty is…the right to be left ALONE!!!

  128. Liberty is…affordability of goods that coincide with the principles of supply and demand, not a market propped-up by gov’t that lead the average person to borrow and/or buy into this fake credit economy.

  129. Liberty is…the freedom to FAIL – but then learning from that lesson and becoming a better person.

  130. Liberty is…the emancipation of the individual from the bondage of state.

  131. Liberty is…the ability to do as one pleases, as long as they do not bring harm to another, without fear of interference from “authoritarian” figures or oppressive laws.

  132. Liberty is … A lack of force, fraud, and coercion both fiscally and socially.

  133. Liberty is…keeping the fruits of your labor.

  134. It´s hard for two rabbits and a wolf – to agree about the dinner. And it´s even harder for me “am swedish” -to see America take the Marx highway, and believe they will come back to liberty.

  135. Liberty is…the ability to choose between options. It does you no good if your enemy is creating the options. A stable socio-economic system requires recognitions of not only the right to life and liberty, but also the right to create complex viable social options…

  136. Liberty to me, is the ability for individuals to do as they wish as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others. – Michael Shanklin

  137. Liberty is issued, I’ll take FREEDOM instead, thank you very much.

    • FREEDOM IS NOT SECURE NOR IS IT FREE UNTIL: INTELLECTUAL _ EMOTIONAL_ PHYSICAL_ SPIRITUAL_ SOCIAL_ ECONOMICAL_ AND FINANCIAL BULLIES (THE POWER ELITE – THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY) ARE KEPT IN CHECK BY THE EQUALITY OF INTERDEPENDENT INDIVIDUALS UNITED AS A MAJORITY IN UNITY AND LIBERTY !

  138. Liberty is…bringing home your paycheck, traveling any way you wish, buying & selling without government involved and ownership of yourself.

  139. Liberty is…the absence of government

  140. …liberty is a right. It is for no one to limit, regulate, or balance with anything. The minute that any limit on human action is put in place beyond “the bounds of the law of nature,” liberty has ceased to exist. One is either free or not free. You cannot enslave someone a little. – Tom Mullens

  141. Liberty is…an absolute. – Tom Mullens

  142. Liberty is…All people accepting the differences of others, love thy brother as yourself, tolorence is everthing it must come from all

    • Good.

I heard one of the speakers on the DVD “2012” saying that we are to eliminate our differences.

      To me, that is suicide.

I think we are to CELEBRATE our differences. For it is the many differences within our own bodies that make their union so much stronger than any one of them might be when separated from that union.

  143. Liberty is…Freedom with Responsibility; the freedom part is merely the ability to do anything I please in my life; the responsibility part is accepting the penalties or rewards for my actions.

  144. Liberty is: Freedom with Responsibility; the freedom part is merely the ability to do anything I please in my life as I see fit; the responsibility part is accepting the penalties or rewards as imposed by the collective society and the receiver as a result of my actions.

    Sincerely and Respectfully,

    Daniel

    New Constitution http://www.PortablePublishing.com

  145. Liberty to me is, Not being controlled by a Tyrannical Government!with fines, fees, permits, license, and Unconstitutional Rules and laws. It’s to live my life in peace and to do no harm to others and they do no harm to me. I could go on and on,but you the picture. Government shall not infringe!

  146. Liberty is… the spectrum of freedom!

“My right to swing my arms around violently stops at the tip of your nose.”

  147. Liberty is…government fearing the people!

  148. Liberty is… the freedom that necessarily comes with freedom.

  149. Liberty is …Being free, having the power and privilege to do as I please without physical restraint from a despotic controlling government.

  150. Liberty can mean many things to many people. To me, Liberty is being who you were born to be, to be that person, that free spirit, that can do anything you want to do while at the same time no entity has no right to tell you what you can do, what you are allowed to do, what to think as long as you aren’t hurting anyone else.

Liberty is the right to live your life without anything infringing on your happiness or your ability to live out your dreams.

There is more, but that should do for now. =)

  151. Liberty is… not granted

  152. Liberty is…drinking beers while grilling in my courtyard.

  153. Liberty is…BEING A “CONSTITUTIONALIST”!

(Meaning: Fully Learning, Understanding, Upholding, and Protecting “The Constitution of the United States of America”.)

  154. Liberty is . . .
    *The Rule of Law
    *Freedom
    *Tolerance
    *Humanism
    *Tranquility
*Basic Fundamental for a dynamic, strong Civic Society.
    *Happiness
    *Respect
    *Order
    *The “Law”
    *Efficiency
*What is truly needed for an Egalitarian Republic (like what this country used to be!!!!)
    *Desirable!!!!

  155. Liberty is…too precious a thing to be buried in books…Men should hold it up in front of them every single day of their lives and say I’m free…to think, and to speak…

Jimmy Stewart as Mr. Smith in “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”

  156. Liberty is…..FREEDOM to “be”.

  157. Liberty is… the only way.

  158. Liberty is…As long as I do not do Harm to Anyone and their Family, who does not do Harm to Me or my Family.
    That Is Liberty
As long as I do not Steal from Them or their Family, and they do not Steal from Me or my Family
    That Is Liberty
We have the God given right to protect our Life and our Family’s Life’s, and our Property.
    That Is Liberty
Having the Government abide by the Constitution Of The United States.
    That would be Liberty
Having the Government serve us as intended
    That would be Liberty
Having Charges of Treason brought against those who Represent us who do not follow the Constitution, which is the Law of the land.
    Then That would be Liberty
Anyone who tries to Change our way of Government should be tried for Treason. ( People who want a One World Government should be tried for Treason)
    Then That would be Liberty
Waking Up the People of the Land to Understand and demand Liberty.
    Priceless

  159. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty.

Where liberty dwells, there is my country.

A few Lines borrowed from no other than the “Great Ben Franklin”.

  160. Liberty is . . . complete freedom to do as you please as long as you are not harming other individuals while doing it.

Liberty or death? Liberty IS death in the current state of affairs — which is horrible considering it is supposed to be the exact opposite.

    Fight on!

    • Remember the responsibility that come with Liberty in the USA. The Duty to control our government.

  161. Liberty is … freedom to choose your own destiny.

  162. Liberty is … deciding for yourself what’s right and wrong.

    • And accepting the rewards or penalties for those decisions?

  163. Liberty is … keeping the fruits of your labor.

  164. Liberty is…95% financial.

Liberty is…the freedom to purchase any good or service you might wish from a willing seller.

Liberty is…freedom from extortionate taxes used to either curtail your freedom or sell you something at gunpoint – because the freedom to buy is also the freedom NOT to buy.

Liberty is…scary to some folks because people are then responsible for their actions. It is natural to want to protect your loved ones but if life teaches us anything it’s that “protecting” people against their will usually has consequences far worse than the behavior they’re being “protected” from.

    • Well put.

One question: Where do you get the 95% financial for liberty?

      • Liberty is 95% financial because without fiat money and extortionate taxes the primary foe of liberty (the STATE) doesn’t have the means to interfere with your life. Legislating morality then proves too expensive to get majority approval. Would YOU pay $2000 a year so your neighbor couldn’t smoke pot, especially if he KEPT RIGHT ON SMOKING IT after the law was passed? Even writing huge 1200 page bills is not worthwhile if the writer can’t use the government to extort money (not necessarily taxes) from the taxpayer.

        • We ARE paying $$$ per year so our neighbors do not smoke pot, hence the failed “War on Drugs”…I concur, the current system of fiat currency or debt money perpetuates a myriad of failed policies and programs that only benefit those at the top of the economic pyramid (the international banksters and the entire cast of characters that comprise the Military Industrial complex.)

        • How about this?

          Liberty is 100% responsibility.

The responsibility to make sure our politicians do not pass ridiculous laws, or any laws without our consent.

We, the People, when we become able to unite for the sole purpose of controlling our governments, are not bound by the Constitution, for we CONTROL the Constitution as indicated in the Preamble. If our government fails to work within the Constitution, it is our RIGHT and DUTY to REFORM that government or create a new one: AS per our Founding Charter most people refer to as the Declaration of Independence.

I think that no law should pass without the prior approval of the People to the laws govern: per our Founding Charter.

  165. Liberty is…the essence of humankind.

  166. To paraphrase Thomas Jefferson:

Liberty is…unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others.

  167. liberty is…the ability to act freely (even if others morally disagree w/ said actions) so long as those actions do not initiate force (or threaten its use) against another

  168. Liberty is… speaking your mind, pursuing a dream, accumulating property with out infringing on others rights to do the same.

  169. Liberty is…the right to live free and peacefully…Unfortunately there are those who are working relentlessly to strip us of it.

    • Unfortunately, those helping strip that liberty are those who think that liberty is free of the responsibility to maintain it.

  170. Liberty is…an absolute.

  171. There is a common misunderstanding that liberty is a gift government’s grant to its citizens. However, I beg to differ. To equate liberty with a gift from government would be to say that liberty is a luxury, or a privilege, and as with all luxuries and privileges, the dark powers that be can easily manipulate rules and laws to deny you your just right. Liberty is a right that every sane individual will cling to and labor for. Whether a man (or woman) believes in a God, the God, or not; liberty is that eternal right, and its very existence permits the Atheist to deny God, just as it permits the believer to believe, praise, worship, and declare His divine existence. Yes, liberty is a right, and a right is something that cannot be taken away by madmen and tyrants; or plotting politicians with sinister motives unless of course, we the people remain complacent, stagnate, and silent. Yes, they will try. History has proven this fact already. However, just as madmen, tyrants, and plotting politicians with sinister motives work together to deprive us of our precious liberties, our basic inalienable rights, free men and women of honor, courage, and a righteous course for the just and noble cause of sweet liberty, shall stand in unity and with one mind, one voice, and boldly declare, “Long Live Liberty!” And this is precisely why I love liberty. With liberty, it matters not the political curve an individual may carry because liberty my friends, is the common denominator of all free men.

    • I agree. Government does not grant to us liberty. It is our liberty that allows us to create our governments as we see fit to help us preserve our rights.

Individually, we, like the organs of our body are weaker alone than the lot of us are when united for the common cause.

  172. Liberty is… voluntary relations without fear of violent retaliations

  173. Liberty is… do for yourself or seek out charity, but don’t form a gang (called government), hold a gun to another persons head, steal from them, and call it “legal”.

    • Government is no more a “gang” than your body is a gang of organs.

The government our Founders designed is to become more of a Union of People like our bodies are unions of organs. We are to become stronger in our UNITY as a whole than any one or small group of us might ever hope to be as individuals.

  174. Liberty is…Peace.

  175. Liberty is… Freedom and Responsibility.

    • Took me a while to find another of like mind.

      Freedom with Responsibility.

  176. Liberty is…”I believe the purpose of good government is to foster the principles of truth, justice, and liberty – anything less, or anything else, is bad government”

  177. Liberty is… not for robots androids or cyborgs.

  178. Liberty is…God’s Law

    • Our Founders put it best: Nature’s God. Our

Within our Founding Charter, our Founders made not one reference to any god man worships.

  179. Liberty is… never having to say “Oh shit, it’s the cops!”

    • Unless the person is violating the Rights of another.

  180. Liberty is…yours.

“The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives”

    -William James

  181. Liberty is… the ability to say the IRS SUCKS and not be the subject of an audit, an investigation, or just incarcerated, drugged, OR put into a mental institution.

  182. Liberty is … the absence of coercion.

Liberty is … what we will have when we have learned to identify and overcome the impulse to use coercion against other human beings.

    Liberty is … emotional maturity.

  183. Liberty is…owning 100% of the fruits of your own labor, a market or economy absent of a parasitic tax or rules, and the right to help others by choice not through force.

    • couldn’t have said it any better!!! well put!!
I’m just wondering when we will all step up to the plate, exercise our 2nd Amendment Right & defend ourselves against a tyrannical gov & overthrow the power the IRS has ‘gained’???

  184. Liberty is…planting a seed, nurturing an idea, growing a dream.

  185. Liberty is…EVERYTHING!

  186. Liberty is… Unalienable, non encroaching, popular but not free, sovereignty, life, a lit candle inside you waiting to be passed on with persevering passion.

If you consider tyranny as darkness and liberty as light then no matter how big of a box of darkness you have, when you open it in a lit room… it disappears.

  187. Liberty is… do for yourself or starve

    • If this is true. Let your lungs try to get the air they need without the help of your diaphragm. Let the parts of your body get the oxygen and nutrients they need without the help of the lungs, blood, veins, arteries, heart, etc.

In a body, I think Liberty is each part of the body making sure that each of the other parts are in as good a condition as they can be so that the entire body is as strong as possible to be able to fight off invaders, whether disease or corrupt governments.

      • Sorry, but this argument is a failure. A human being is not a lung, and the human body is not an accurate representation of society.

While a lung cannot exist without dependency on other organs, a human most certainly can survive in solitude. We are individuals, and part of a voluntary social system.

Your vision of “Liberty” is a social one, where the system is greater than it’s parts. This is a fallacy. In this system cancerous corruption will suck up all resources and destroy your system as a whole. This is the fallacy of socialism.

Individual liberty is where true liberty lies.and it’s where society as a whole obtains greatness. Society rides the backs of the self reliant. Don’t put them on the same level as the leeches who survive on their sweat and blood.

        • I would say that the people of Somalia have more liberty than anyone else in the world. Does that quantify greatness to you?

      • sounds too much like socialism or Marxism!

  188. Liberty is… having and exercising autonomous volition.

  189. Liberty is…my life.

  190. Liberty is…worth fighting for.
